We were just getting ready to eat our dinner when Jasmine was playing with her milk. She was moving her cup over her "spork." I quickly, with irritation in my voice, told her to stop. She looked at me and said, "Nice." (I am teaching her to talk nicely when she wants or needs something.) I quickly thought about what I had just done. Then I said with a nice voice, "Would you please put your milk down." (Daddy was laughing loudly.) It was quite humorous but very thought provoking. I certainly was not being a good example to her. How I need to speak with kindness even when it is tough to do so. The Proverbs 31 woman is a good example to follow. May the words of my mouth and the mediations of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord my Strength and my Redeemer (Psalm 19:14)!
